The red rose is one of the most beautiful flowers in the world.  The real thing is better than what anyone can put in words or snapshots.  When they bloom, people can see the full effect.  The rich red color spells “love” all over. 

In addition to love, red roses are used for caring, affection and anything else that has to do with the emotion of love.  People knew that when a woman received roses, it had to be from someone special.  Whether it was a boyfriend or a husband, they really loved her.  Sending red roses was their way of showing it.

Back in the early centuries, some couples weren’t allowed to display their affection for each other in public.  So they decided that getting red roses was the next best thing.  

Another part of having red roses is about spurring desire in a person’s heart.  It expresses wanting someone for themselves.  Red roses express an intimate and passionate rage for the one they love. 

Every February when it’s time for Valentine’s Day, florists are inundated with orders from people who want to express their love to that special person.  Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, it’s usually with a dozen or a bouquet of roses. 

If they didn’t get a lot of orders for roses during that time, something would be very wrong.  The florists just go with the flow because they know they avalanche is coming.
